The Eclissi Gold earrings are a circle crossed by two materials. Soft, matt rubber runs around almost the entire circumference; a section of gold-plated brass completes the form and introduces the light. The transition is sharp, but the circle continues.
The name comes from the eclipse: the shadow passes in front of the light, hides it for a time and then lets it reappear. The same happens when you wear the earring. With movement, the metal appears, catches the light and then gives way to the rubber again.
The fine hook is in 925 silver, safe even on sensitive skin. The diameter is generous — 3.5 centimetres — but the lightness of the rubber makes Eclissi comfortable to wear even for long periods: just 3 grams in total.

Rubber

Soft and light, with shape memory: with a little care it stays as it was on the first day.

How to wear it. Keep it away from alcohol, acetone and solvents, and from strong heat. Many hours of direct sun will dull the colour over time.
How to clean it. A cloth dampened with lukewarm water and a drop of neutral soap, then dry it straight away. If it looks dull over time, it is the skin's natural oils: wipe it with a degreaser, then dry it with a soft cloth.
How to store it. Lay it flat or loosely coiled, never tightly folded, away from radiators and sunny windows.

Gold-plated brass

A thin layer of gold on brass: it stays warm and bright with a dry cloth and a little care.

How to wear it. Perfume, creams, chlorine and sea water darken and wear away the gold plating: put it on last and take it off before the pool and the sea.
How to clean it. A soft, dry cloth, ideally microfibre. No silver cleaners, polishing pastes or sponges: they remove the gold plating.
How to store it. In its box, away from other jewellery: gold is soft and scratches easily.

How to wear it. Put it on last, after creams, perfume and hairspray. Take it off before showering, swimming in the sea or pool, exercising and going to bed.
How to clean it. When you take it off, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth: a few seconds are enough.
How to store it. Keep it in its box, in a dry drawer, away from your other jewellery. The bathroom, with its steam, is the least suitable place.

The rubber is light: the hoop is wide, yet comfortable to wear for many hours. The fine hook stays discreet behind the ear. As you move, the stretch of metal catches the light for an instant, then gives way to the rubber again. With hair up you see the whole form; with hair down it appears here and there, following your movement.

The material, up close.

What matters most about rubber is its matt quality. It does not reflect light, and so the stroke of metal stands out at once. Between the two materials there is no gradation, but a clean break. Soft and light, rubber makes it possible to build a wide circle — 3.5 centimetres in diameter for just 3 grams — that remains pleasant to wear even for long periods.

The brass works by contrast. It is rigid, holds its line and catches the light discreetly. It visually interrupts the rubber and at the same time completes the circle: a line of light that closes and reopens the form.

The 925 sterling silver hook is fine and smooth, designed for contact with the skin. In rubber, the colour runs through the material rather than being applied to the surface: it stays even and accompanies its use over time.
