It depends on how you care for your jewellery and how often you wear it. If you take the necessary precautions, such as taking off your jewellery before showering, removing rings before washing your hands, not using body lotions and perfumes directly on your jewellery, and generally keeping it away from chemicals, it can last for many years. Storage is also important: wrapping them in cotton or paper and placing them away from moisture and direct sunlight will prevent the plating from fading. However, please accept that any surface treatments and platings will wear off over time.
