The Caurì Short necklace is not worn in pieces: it is worn all together. Several strands of copper mesh modules, shaped like the shell that gives the piece its name, run parallel around the neck — 50 centimetres — and cross one another, until no strand can be read on its own any more.
The copper is woven like a yarn and then silver-plated or coloured: it remains metal, but behaves like fabric, and a necklace of this volume does not weigh on the shoulders, at just 45 grams.
The clasp is magnetic, in steel: the two ends find each other on their own, even without help.
On their own these shells counted for nothing. Intertwined, they make a single body.

Copper fabric

Metal threads woven like a fabric: light, pliable, it holds its shape on its own.

How to wear it. Keep it away from water, perfume and creams: wet copper darkens. If it gets squashed, reshape it gently with your fingers, without pulling single threads.
How to clean it. For dust, a soft, dry brush. No water or detergents.
How to store it. Laid in its box, with nothing on top and away from other jewellery: the threads can catch.

For all jewellery

How to wear it. Put it on last, after creams, perfume and hairspray. Take it off before showering, swimming in the sea or pool, exercising and going to bed.
How to clean it. When you take it off, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth: a few seconds are enough.
How to store it. Keep it in its box, in a dry drawer, away from your other jewellery. The bathroom, with its steam, is the least suitable place.

With you every day

Five modules of hand-worked metal fabric bring light to the neck and fill the neckline; on a dress or a shirt you need nothing else. It stays with you all day, from work to the evening.

After a few minutes you no longer feel it, thanks to its hollow fabric. The magnetic clasp finds its own way behind the neck, even without a mirror. The threads settle naturally with every movement.

The material, up close.

Here the copper is reduced to a fine thread and passed through the loom like a yarn: it is a pliant metal, and once woven it holds the form it is given. The necklace measures 50 centimetres and weighs 45 grams.

The fabric compresses under the fingers and regains its shape, so the strands settle by themselves after every movement. The surface, silvered or coloured, catches the light in small touches rather than in a single reflection: the piece is noticed without shining.

The magnetic clasp is in steel, the only cold point, and closes by itself.
